Q.1.     Who is eligible for applying GIA from DKS?

 

Ans.    Any NGO/Institution/Organization which is registered under Society Registration Act, 1860/ Indian Trust Act, 1882 at Delhi and whose activities are within Delhi is eligible for applying GIA from DKS.

 

Q.2.     What is the maximum limit of amount of GIA?

 

Ans.    An NGO can be given a maximum of Rs.30.00 lacs as GIA as per rules/norms.

 

Q.3.     Under which Scheme can an Organization apply for GIA.

 

Ans.    The Schemes pertaining to Social Welfare/Education/Medical Improvement/Sports/Art & Culture can be seen/uploaded from the website.

 

Q.4.     What is the last date for applying GIA for a particulars project?

 

Ans.    There is no last date for receiving applications from NGOs. Any Organization may apply to DKS with its project at any convenient working day.

 

Q.5.     To whom the application may be addressed?

 

Ans.    The applications may be addressed to Joint Director (DKS).

 

Q.6.     What are the documents to be submitted with application?

 

Ans.    The list of documents to be attached can be obtained from the website.

 

Q.7.     What is the criteria to consider the proposal for GIA?

 

Ans.    The received applications along with documents (in 3 sets) are scrutinized in DKS. The same is sent to the concerned Nodal Office for views/comments. The Nodal Office (e.g. Education Department for educational projects) inspects the Organization and submits its report. The proposal along with views/comments of Administrative Department is placed in the Executive Committee meeting for consideration.

 

Q.8.     When does the Executive Committee Meeting held?

 

Ans.    The Executive Committee Meeting held invariably on quarterly basis as per norms/rules of DKS.

 

Q.9.     What are the documents to be submitted after the Executive Committee approves the proposal for GIA?

 Ans.    There are only two documents which an organization has to submit after getting approval:

  1.                     Details regarding Bank Account
  2.                          Indemnity Bond

 

Q.10.  How can an NGO obtain the status of its application/proposal?

 

Ans.    The status can be seen from the website under Head “Status of Application” by entering the ID No. or name of the Organization.
