Examination Cell of SCERT, Delhi, has been entrusted with the responsibility of Admission, Examination, Certification, Verification and Quality Monitoring of Teacher Education Programmes at Elementary Level (ETE) and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for female only.

As on date there are 60 Institutes of Teacher Education i.e. 9 DIETs, 21 ETE Self Financed Institutes run by Pvt. Management and 30 ECCE Self Financed Institutes run by Private Management. All are affiliated to SCERT for admission, examination, certification and verification of Diploma. ETE & ECCE is a full-time Diploma course of two years duration. The medium of instruction for these courses/activities and examinations is English/Hindi.

The annual intake of candidates in 9 DIETs, 21 Self Financed Institutes for ETE course & 30 Self Financed Institutes for ECCE course is as given below :-

* 20 Seats for ‘Teaching of Urdu and 20 for Teaching of Punjabi areallotted at DIET Darya Ganj and DIET Karkardoomarespectively.
