SCERT has been conducting B.Ed. Programme for Assistant Teachers of Directorate of Education, NDMC and M.C.D since 2003. As per policy of GNCT of Delhi, SAV certificate has been closed for the Assistant teachers of Concern Department. So SCERT started the B.Ed., In-service programme for primary teachers of government schools. Eligibility of the course is 5 years regular service with Graduate / Post Graduate degree in school subject and 5% relaxation is provided by the university with the direction of Directorate of higher Education for In-service B.Ed. programme.

B.Ed. Programme is a one year regular degree course and affiliated to Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

Intake of the Students is 100 and seats of the Concern departments are as under-:

DOE – 65,                MCD – 25,                   NDMC – 10

In case sufficient departmental candidates are not sponsored the SCERT may considered admitting students who have appeared in the CET 2011 conducted by GGSIP University Delhi.
This issues with the prior approval of Executive Committee SCERT.
