Apart from these senior doctors the department has 8 Medical Officers, 8 Senior Residents and 8 Junior Residents. Recently interns are coming to the department by rotation for a period of 15 days each for training in emergency management of the patients.
Dr. Ajay Bahl is the nodal officer for Disaster Management of the hospital for Delhi Govt. In the Department of Casualty & Emergency we are offering In patient (IPD) as well as Out patient (OPD) services. The emergency ward attached to this department has facilities for in patients of Medicine, Surgery, Neuro- surgery & Orthopedics. Facilities for emergency X- ray, CT scan, ultra sound, ECG & certain lab. Investigations are also associated with this. The Department of Casualty & Emergency is always Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, round the clock to deal with any eventuality & also for all kinds of emergency patients. The Department deals with all administrative matters related to hospital after office hours.
The Medical officer of casualty is the senior most officer, in the whole hospital, available after office hours.The Emergency block also has Emergency Major O.T. & Emergency minor O.T. to deal with all kinds of emergency surgeries. It also houses state of the art, most modern ICU having all the facilities for 7 patients.
