Department of Dermatology & STD, was established in the year 1962 when Maulana Azad Medical College was started. Over the years it has been headed by Prof. P.N. Behl (1962-68), Prof. Rattan Singh (1969 – 1981), Dir. Prof. V.N Sehgal (1981-1991), Dir. Prof. B.M.S. Bedi (1991-1994) and Director Prof. B.S.N. Reddy (1995-May 2005),Currently,Dr. vijay Kumar Garg,Professor is heading the department since june, 2005 .
