1. Blood Bank LN Hospital is designated as Regional Blood Transfusion Centre (Central Zone). It caters the needs of  Lok Nayak Hospital and other government and non-government hospitals located in central zone of Delhi. During shortage of any blood and blood components including rare groups in any part of Delhi, RBTC (cz) provides on availability of stock.


2. RBTC  organizes voluntary blood donation camps in Delhi and in NCR areas.


3. Regular Counselling of blood donors found positive of Transfusion Transmitted Infection are done by a trained counselor.


4. Blood Bank Laboratory Training of MLT students.

Launching of LONG TERM Programme of conversion of Replacement Donor into Repeat Voluntary Blood Donor on " WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY 2009"

Conversion of Replacement Blood donors into voluntary blood donors was experimented in RBTC during last one year. Number of Replacement donor became repeat voluntary blood donor by way of slilled motivation. To achieve 100% voluntary donation, RBTC (cz) launching a long term programme of conversion of Replacement blood Donors into Repeat Voluntary Blood Donor.

Congenial atmosphere and proper handling of Replacement blood donor by courteous staff of blood bank can motivate voluntary Blood Donor. By way of repalcement Donation, Donor's fear and misconception about donation are removed and he becomes the regular voluntary blod donor. Such Programme is required to be initiated in all the blood banks to achieve the target of 100% voluntary blood donation.
