Competent Authority Under Right to information act
Under the newly enacted Right to Information Act, 2001 Joint Secretary (Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs) has been declared as the Competent Authority to entertain and dispose of all the applications made under the Act.
Anyone seeking information under the Act can do so by making a payment of Rs. 50/- to the cashier of GAD and upon that file the application alongwith the cash receipt to the Superintendent (Litigation) who will process the application and cause the same to be laid down before the Competent Authority for final disposal. All kind of forms as per the Act are available with the Superintendent (Litigation) and can be obtained from him on written request.(Download Form)
