Library information center provides health information support and caters to the study needs of faculty members, doctors, researchers, students and staffs in their research, teaching and training activities. It committed to meet the users expectation by implementing and maintaining excellence in library systems, procedures and services through:

           1. Developing appropriate collections in various disciplines for satisfying the study
              needs of the diverse clientele of the library.
           2. Providing value added comprehensive information services and resolving
              customer needs in time.          

           3. Providing reading, lending, reference, information and documentation services to 
              all the users and collaborate linkage with national and international institutions for
              resource  sharing of information.

Timings: The Library is open 9.00 am. to 9.00 pm. From Monday to Friday and 9.00 am. to 4.00 pm. on Saturday. The library is closed on Sunday and gazetted holidays.

Membership:

Membership of library is open to:

Teaching faculty members, doctors and clinicians.
Researchers, pool officers and other similar staff of the institute.
Students and staffs of IHBAS.
External users are permitted on request for consultation purposes only.

Permission to the external users

Unauthorized entry in to the library is prohibited. Visitors, research scholars, students and other professionals in the field of mental health and neurosciences or related subject field are granted reading and reference privileges on the recommendation from their respective department/ organization, at the discretion of the Librarian.
