II. Introduction
 
This is a 50 bedded secondary level hospital. This hospital is spread over 1.37 Acre of Land. The hospital has a sanctioned bed strength of 50 beds, . Its main objective is to provide minimum free basic health care services. Standards of services may be influenced by workload & availability of resources at that particular time. Yet it is intended that all users receive courteous & prompt attention.

Most of the medicines prescribed by the doctors are usually available at the Pharmacy Counters free of cost. Medicines are usually given for three days for OPD patients. Senior Citizens, Physically handicapped, freedom fighters and beneficiaries of Delhi Government Employees Health Scheme are given priority
 

Indoors Services:

 
Presently there are 10 observation beds only. These beds are utilized for keeping patients under observation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Serious patients are referred to other large Govt. hospitals.
 

Emergency Services:

 
Primary Emergency Services are available from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. by the duty doctor. Specialists are available on call whenever required. The decision to call the specialists rests on the treating doctor. Serious patients are referred to other hospitals. Ambulance service is available during the hospital hours.
 
Operation Facilities
 
There is one minor operation theatre for minor surgical procedures, wherein the patient can be discharged on the same day.
 
IV. Frequently Asked Questions:
 
Q.1. Is there any grievance redressal mechanism ?
 
Ans. It has been decided that visitors who wish to meet the Medical Superintendent may give their grievances between 2.00 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. in the office every Friday. The M.S. along with the concerned officers would meet people from 2.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. and attend to their grievances. The grievances would as far as possible be redressed across the table & feedback provided to the complainant.
 
Q.2. Are there any user charges for the services & the medicines provided to the patients ?
 
Ans. All the services provided to the patients except ultrasound are free. For ultrasound Rs. 50/- are charged for outdoor patients.
 
Q.3. Who are the beneficiaries of the hospital ?
 
Ans. The hospital provides services to general public.
 
Q.4. Are there any special facilities for senior citizens ?
 
Ans. For senior citizens there is a separate queue at all counters. Also, on Tuesday & Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. all services of the hospital are available to senior citizens only.
