II. Introduction
 

This is a general primary level hospital. Its main objective is to provide maximum free health care services. Patients are being sees in all the specialties and related treatment in form of medicines or surgical treatment is being provided .

Presently 61 beds are functioning.

Courteous and prompt attention is meted out to the patients.

Drug Distribution:

 

Most of the medicines prescribed by the doctors are usually available at the Pharmacy Counters, Room No. 12, free of cost. Medicines are usually given for three days for OPD patients. Senior Citizens, Physically handicapped, freedom fighters and beneficiaries of Delhi Government Employees Health Scheme are given priority.

 

Indoors Services:

 
Presently there are 15 Emergency beds, 26 beds in ward I , 20 beds each in ward II & III. Serious patients are referred to other higher centers for further management.
 

Emergency Services:

 

Emergency Services are available round the clock. Specialists are available on call whenever required. There are two ambulances in the hospital for shifting the serious patients to other hospitals.

 

Operation Facilities

 
Every department has an attached Minor OT. Four main operation theatres run from Monday - Friday, where all Major surgeries of different departments are carried out. Emergency OT is also functional
 
IV. Frequently Asked Questions
 

Q.1. Is there any grievance redressal mechanism ?

 

Ans. There is a Grievance Redressal committee in the hospital headed by Dr. Kalpana Uppal DMS (M) . The member of committee meet on every Monday between 2 P.M. to 3 P.M. in the chamber of DMS (M). However , visitors who wish to meet DMS(M)/ MS can meet them in their rooms directly between 2 to 3 P.M. on every Friday.

 

Q.2. Are there any user charges for the services & the medicines provided to the patients ?

 

Ans. All the services provided to the patients except ultrasound are free. For ultrasound Rs. 50/- are charged for outdoor patients.

 

Q.3. Who are the beneficiaries of the hospital ?

 

Ans. The hospital provides services to general public.

 

Q.4. Are there any special facilities for senior citizens ?

 

Ans. For senior citizens there is a separate queue at all counters. Also, on Tuesday & Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. geriatic clinic is run for benefit of Senior Citizens.

Ans. Goals and Achievements are :-
       
1. To make it a fully functional 100 bedded hospital.
 
2. To provide prompt and courteous service to patients.
 
3.To add speciality clinics in addition to routine work.
 
4.To add newer operation facilities.
Achievements :

6.Due to prompt service provision, Patient attendance has increased from 395958 to 553550. The no. of IPD has increased from 12062 to 3140 and operative procedures from 3033 to 10231.
