This hospital is a Secondary Level
100 Bedded General Hospital for common people. The patients who need super
specialty care are referred to Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital or other super
specialty hospital as the case may be.
There are seven central registration counters for routine OPD and
one counter for staff, Senior Citizen & disabled patient. However, there is
another counter which function round the clock in Casualty Block for
registration of Admissions of Indoor Patients, which also serves as reception
cum enquiry. Directions, signs /indicators at strategic points are available for
the convenience of patients in all the corridors. |

There is One Main Operation theaters
with Two O.T. Tables, One Emergency Operation theater in causality Block and One

There are 02 No.s of Minor O.Ts. one
in Causality Block and another in OPD Block.
The Operation Theatres are well
equipped with modern equipments such as Image Intensifier with C-arm,
Laparoscope & Hysteroscopy etc. Minimal access Surgery procedures by
Laparoscope & Hysteroscopy are performed by Dept. of Surgery, Obst &
Gynecology respectively. The deptt of surgery performing basic & advanced
laparoscopic procedure. |

has been started in this hospital since August , 1997 and are being done
Laparoscopic ligation has been started in this hospital since 10.11.1999 and 415
Laparoscopic ligation (Sterilization) have been done during the year
2004-05. |

R. Training Centre For
RCH. |

This hospital is a recognized RCH
Training Center by Health & Family Welfare Training Centre, Govt. of Delhi
and is conducting hands on training regularly w.e.f. 01.03.2001 for Medical
Officers, LHVs. and ANMs, for implementation of RCH Program. Till date, the
centre has already conducted 16 such Training Programs (6 for Medical Officers,
6 for ANMs and 4 for LHVs.) These Training Programs are helping in strengthening
the grass root level workers in the periphery and establishment of referral
linkage. |

The hospital has been designated as
Base hospital for East District Blind Control Society ( E.D.B.S.) under the
Vice-Chairmanship of Medical Superintendent , L.B.S. Hospital for East District
of Delhi, the hospital has been upgraded as District Hospital. The activities of
the E.D.B.S. are as follows :- |

1) To organize screening camps and to
detect the Cataract Patients with the help of N.G.O.s and Government hospital
and thereafter Cataract operations are performed totally free of cost. 1973
patients were operated in various Government Hospitals and NGO’s East
Delhi. |

2)School Eye Screening. Under this program students of
Govt. Schools are Screened and those students who are detected to have
Refractive Errors students are distributed Free Spectacles by East Delhi Blind
Control Society. |

Grievance redressal mechanism?
Ans : It has been decided that the
visitors who wish to meet the Med Supdt. may give their grievances between
12P.M. to 1 P.M. in the office. The M.S. along with the concerned officers would
meet people from 12P.M. to 1 P.M. and attend to their grievances. The grievances
would as far as possible be redressed across the table & feedback provided
to the complainant.
Q.No.4 Are there any special
facilities for senior citizens?
Ans : For Senior citizens there is a
separate queue at all counters. Also on Sunday, 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. all services
of the hospital are available to senior citizens only |
