• Introduction

 

Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital was established on the land allotted by Delhi Development Authority to the Directorate of Health Services, Delhi Administration, to provide the preventive, promotive and curative health care services to the people of Resettlement Colony of Jahangir Puri, peripheral part of north Delhi.

The hospital started the OPD services [along with first aid] in a make-shift on 16th August 1993.

The hospital has provided quality health care services with the dedication of all categories of staffs, over a period of time.

Presently Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital is a 100-beded multispecialty general hospital and provides secondary level medical care to large number of patients coming to this hospital.

1.To provide primary, secondary and tertiary level of treatment to approx. 10 Lakhs population of the rural area including the bordering areas.

2.The hospital has scope for future expansion.

3.To provide free medical facilities to all patients.

4.To provide MCH & Family Welfare services including Immunization,Control of communicable and non-communicable diseases.

5.To provide/ conduct basic Health Education, In-service training to Doctors, Nursing staffs and other paramedical staffs.

[A] REGISTRATION:

There is one central registration counter for OPD registration, with separate windows for male, female, handicapped, pensioner & other beneficiaries etc. Another counter functions round the clock for registration of In-door patient. Directions, signboard / indicators at strategic points are available for the conveniences of hospital users. Telephonic enquiries are also responded on the telephone number.

[B] SERVICES AVAILABLE

The hospital provides Primary, Secondary and Tertiary level medical care to all patients come to this hospital. Standards of services may be influenced by workload and availability of resources available at that particular time.

[I].ACCIDENT & EMERGENCY SERVICES

Casualty & Emergency services are available round the clock in the Casualty block.
Pediatrics and Obstetric emergency services are also available round the clock
MLC facilities are available round the clock.
One Senior Resident of each specialty of medicine, surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics & gynecology and pediatrics is available round the clock.
One emergency operation theatre and X-ray facility are available round the clock. Specialists are available on call whenever is required.

One attendant pass is issued to every patient at the time of admission, which is required by attendant to enter the concerned ward.
Visiting Hours:
Summer: - morning 6 AM to 7 AM and evening 5 PM to 7 PM.
Winter: - morning 6 AM to 7 AM and evening 4-30 PM to 6-30 PM.
