Mission Convergence is basically an attempt of the Govt. of NCT of Delhi to lay the foundation for the proper psychological, physical and social development of the poor and unheard communities through adopting a holistic approach towards community welfare,SamajikSuvidhaSangam came into being– a platform where all services / welfare schemes converge. In simple words, we can say it is a plethora of welfare schemes put together. One must be clear that it is also the convergence of goals, ideas and resources to provide social justice in the best coordination way to ensure thatunderprivileged and the poor regularly receive welfare services and their basic rights of food, education, health care and social security. It is an attempt to re-identify urban poor through Survey & using criteria of Habitat, Social and Occupational Criteria of Vulnerability rather than Economic Criteria adopted earlier.
