Shri Deepak Mohan Spolia
Shri Deepak Mohan Spolia, an IAS officer of 1976 batch (AGMUT cadre) has taken over as Chief Secretary of Delhi on 1 January 2013. Born on 03 rd January, 1955, Shri Spolia did his post graduation in Economics and held the post of Principal Secretary (Finance) in the Government of NCT of Delhi.

Shri Spolia is an able administrator and has vast experience of working with Government.  He has held many prestigious and challenging postings during his illustrious administrative career. Starting as Sub. Collector in Pondicherry, Deputy Commissioner, Lunglei  in  Mizoram, he worked as Labour  Commissioner;  CEO Chandigarh  Housing  Board; Deputy  Commissioner, Delhi ; Development Commissioner and Commissioner  to  CM in  Arunachal  Pradesh  and Chairman , Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board . He has also  held the position of Principal Secretary : Transport Department, Land &  Building Department, Urban Development Department ,Revenue Department /Divisional Commissioner; Irrigation & Flood Control Department, Principal Secretary (Power) , Govt of NCT of Delhi; CMD , Delhi Transco Limited; CMD, Delhi Power Company Limited and Chairman of Indraprasha Power Generation  Company Limited and Pragati  Power Corporation Limited In Government  of NCT of Delhi.
