THE PROCEDURE FOLLOWED IN THE DECISION MAKING PROCESS, INCLUDING CHANNELS OF SUPERVISION AND ACCOUNTABILITY
 

Senior Scientific Officers and Scientists are responsible for implementation of plan schemes pertaining to Environment Department. Proposals after being examined at the level of Senior Scientific Officers and Scientists are submitted for the perusal of Secretary (Environment) through Director (Environment). Secretary (Environment), being the Head of Department, is final authority in respect of Department of Environment.

Administrative and accounts related work of Environment Department is being done by one of the Senior Scientific Officer as DDO, an Assistant Account Officer and the Superintendent with the help of ministerial staff. Deputy Secretary (Environment), being Head of Office, has over all supervision in administrative and accounts related matter.
