This Department recommends allotment of land for setting up new technical institutions to DDA in accordance with the norms laid down by AICTE. The land allotment committee considers the requests of Societies as per following guidelines.
The applications for recommendation of allotment of land should be submitted on the prescribed form along with necessary documents.
Each application for recommendation of land allotment shall be examined by a screening committee constituted by the Secretary, Training & Technical Education for determining the merits and assessments of land requirement.
The applicant shall be a registered body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 or a registered trust and its aims and objectives shall include promoting the use of technical education/training.
The society shall be a non-profit making body and it will work for all without any discrimination of caste, creed or colour.
The society should maintain democratic set up and functioning at all levels.
The society should have at least one year experience in the field, supported with the sound management system and reputation of undertaking such activities or it should have been promoted by persons well versed with technical education.
The society should be able to provide evidence of having adequate funds in its account for purchase of land, construction of building, procurement of equipment and generation of other infra-structural facilities. The minimum amount should be Rs. 10 lakhs plus the amount required for the cost of land.
The society will have to undertake to follow the norms/guidelines of the All India Council for Technical Education/National Council for Vocational Training under the aegis of Directorate General of Employment and training and qualified staff as per the approved structure.
It will construct the new building as per the prescribed norms and byelaws laid down by the local bodies.
It will use the land for the purpose for which the land is actually allotted.
Preference for allotment of land will be for such institutes, which propose to conduct programmes in emerging areas of technology or where ever there is a well established need for manpower training to fill the gaps relating to human resource development to meet the requirement of industry and other allied sector for uniform growth of the state and the country.
The cases are disposed off within in a period of one month.
